In a unexpected crossover event that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Uncovered

According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of prohibited rituals and fearsome changes echo through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden sect.

The questline centers on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Transformations

The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Extra Material

Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an exclusive katana together with numerous items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This release also brings the game's newest no-cost story content, titled "The Mystery."
