An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
